Adam Rowark

Support Worker

Following completion of a BSc in Psychology, Adam achieved an MSc in Health Psychology. This allowed Adam to study human behaviours, health behaviour change and neuropsychology. He has been able to apply psychological theory and practical methods in his role at ABBI Clinic.

During his Masters, Adam worked as a wellbeing advisor at the charity Highway Hope, supporting people with mental health and physical conditions. This further inspired an interest in working within the field of mental health and Adam gained experience whilst working as a healthcare assistant on an acute inpatient mental health ward.

Adam then went on to work as a support worker on a personality disorder rehabilitation ward.

Whilst in his role at ABBI Clinic, Adam has been involved in development of the ARFID treatment pathway and he has a keen interest in the management of binge eating disorder. His specialist area is in utilising techniques and interventions for those with sensory preferences, particularly interoceptive awareness.
