Amanda has worked in mental health services for over 19 years. Over this time, she has experience in different roles within services. She started her career as a support worker, moved on to becoming a qualified nurse, deputy ward manager and then ward manager. Amanda’s skill set and expertise led her into the role of clinical services manager and then hospital director.
She has experience in many areas within inpatient, outpatient and daycare settings, and her passion lies in leadership and education, both for service users and for her colleagues.
Amanda was awarded an MBE in 2024 for services to people in hospital.
Her specialist area of interest is neurodivergence and personality disorders.
