Gona has a strong academic background in the field of mental health. She achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2016 and then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology in 2018.
Gona is currently working towards completing a level 4 diploma in therapeutic counselling. Her special areas of interest include transactional analysis, cognitive behavioural therapy and person-centred therapy.
Throughout her studies, Gona has developed an in depth understanding of Psychological therapies for mental health disorders, cognitive behaviour therapy and research methods in Psychology. She is also trained and certified in Psychological first aid, to support for those in distress. Gona has a passion for delivering high quality theories and practices associated with therapies for adults and children. She practices in English, Kurdish and Turkish.
Alongside her studies, Gona is also a qualified mental health support worker. Her experience in this role has enabled her to deliver care in a holistic manner.
