A formal eating disorder diagnosis is not required to access treatment at ABBI Clinic. If you are concerned about your relationship with food or eating, getting in touch is the right first step. We will listen, answer your questions, and help you understand what the most appropriate pathway looks like for you.
From the moment you contact us, we aim to respond within 24 hours. The process from initial contact to beginning treatment is designed to be as straightforward and supported as possible.
A member of our team will have an initial conversation with you to understand your circumstances and answer any questions you have. If ABBI Clinic is not the right fit, we will help point you in the direction of the most appropriate support.
If ABBI Clinic is the right next step, we will invite you to an in-depth assessment lasting up to 60 minutes with a member of our specialist team. This covers your clinical presentation, medical and psychological history, risk, and readiness for treatment, and is the foundation of your personalised treatment plan. The assessment is available virtually or in-person.
Following your assessment, our full clinical team will review your circumstances and develop a personalised treatment plan. We will present this to you, and where appropriate, to your family or carer, so that you have a clear picture of what is recommended and why. This is also an opportunity to ask any questions before treatment begins.
Once your treatment plan is confirmed and funding arrangements are in place, treatment begins. Our commitment is to move from initial enquiry to treatment start within 14 days.
The cost of treatment at ABBI Clinic depends on the programme recommended following your assessment, the duration of your treatment, and your individual clinical needs. We will always be transparent about costs before treatment begins.
All treatment begins with an onboarding assessment, which is the essential first step and the foundation of your treatment plan.
Following your assessment, your treatment plan will set out the recommended programme and the associated costs. Outpatient treatment provides structured specialist support at regular intervals and is suited to people who are clinically stable and do not require daily oversight.
Our Day Care programme is more intensive, available as a full-day or part-day option, and the daily rate covers all aspects of your programme, including group work, individual therapy, dietetic support, and family therapy where appropriate.
For those using private medical insurance, we will work alongside you and your insurer to navigate the funding process. For those self-funding, full details of costs will be confirmed following your assessment.
If you have questions or concerns about funding, please raise them with us, and we will do our best to help.
